Problem Statements
Currently there is a lack of clean, concise political information available on a digestible mobile platform. There is currently no attractive way to hyperlink relevant facts in social media with a trustworthy source. Censorship or ulterior motives are often hidden within company policies. Discovering politics that represents the user can be a laborious task. Without clear information, users cannot make clear decisions. Holding political leaders to account requires digging. Americans see the political scale on a left-to-right continuum, and this obscures how relative an issue or candidate truly might be to their general beliefs.
Proposed Solutions
Facts can be shared in a similar way to how tweets look when they are shared – condensed to the necessary matter. We aim to be seen as immediately trustworthy because of the unity between the quality and openness of our nonpartisan content and our design. We communicate with people of all walks of life to best represent their issues truthfully. YouChoose makes it easy to find the vital information needed to make confident voting decisions and will create better service for the people to choose representatives that do, in fact, represent them.
Project Goal
Creating a clean, accessible and modern UI that will be easily accessible to the less tech-savvy, while engaging and retaining younger audiences, journalists/researchers, and political enthusiasts. User experience is the way we want to captivate our users, and the app’s content is the main link for social media users when expressing facts about politicians or issues.
Process
I reviewed the project brief and worked up some basic wireframes based on the targeted feature set, then moved into XD to create these high fidelity mockups for internal review. Development is still on the horizon, so I’m working to add in additional user flows and making refinements to the existing UI based on feedback from the team.
