Problem Statements
In today’s digital age, potential attendees of events often face information overload, with a myriad of details scattered across various platforms. This makes it challenging for them to find specific event details, understand the value proposition, and effortlessly register. For our hypothetical one-day AI conference set in Los Angeles, the absence of a centralized, user-friendly platform might lead to decreased attendance, confusion, and a diminished overall experience for those interested in participating.
Proposed Solutions
To address these challenges, the creation of a dedicated landing page for the AI conference was proposed. This page would centralize all crucial information, from event details to speaker line-ups, and offer a seamless registration process. The design would focus on user experience, ensuring that content is both easily digestible and actionable. By integrating intuitive design elements and clear calls to action, attendees would be guided effortlessly from interest to registration.
Project Goal
The primary goal was to provide a visually compelling and user-centric platform to serve as a marketing site for the AI conference — aiming to attract and engage potential attendees, offering them a frictionless journey from discovery to registration. By ensuring the landing page is responsive, informative, and intuitive, we hope to maximize attendance, foster excitement about the conference, and position it as the premier AI event in Los Angeles.

Process
Both desktop and mobile designs were created, including a sample registration signup flow. All photographic imagery was AI-generated with custom prompting to ensure relevancy to the project.

Interactive Prototype
The Figma prototypes are available for mobile as well as desktop (including a proposed sign up flow)
User Stories
I also developed a few user stories to help developers understand the required functionality:

Event Details – As an attendee, I want to easily locate and read details about the AI conference, including its purpose, date, venue, and some of the notable speakers, so that I can understand the significance and content of the event, ideally with some level of engaging imagery and typography.

Agenda Overview – As an attendee, I want to view the agenda of the conference, broken down by time, with location and speaker details, so that I can plan my day and decide on sessions I’d like to prioritize.

Ticket Registration – As an attendee, I want to effortlessly sign up for a free ticket to the conference through a simple and intuitive registration form, ensuring my spot at the event.

Registration Success & Confirmation Notification – As an attendee, once I’ve successfully registered for the conference, I want to receive a clear on-screen confirmation as well as an email notification, so I can be assured of my registration and have a record of it for future reference.
